Upstate NY: Harvest Colors Calm Winter Worries
Before I went to Georgia and checked out Eagle Island
, I spent a few days in Upstate New York, wandering the Finger Lakes and admiring the fall foliage. It was an absolutely incredible experience - the type of thing I simply couldn't get in Santa Barbara (where I lived at the time).
The beautiful harvest colors were truly impressive, stirring memories of growing up on the East Coast (Philadelphia). You'll never hear me complain about the weather in Southern California, yet I do now have a much deeper appreciation for the feel of a crisp, fall day in the woods.
