Raised in Rochester, NY where the winters are long and gray helped ignite Amy"s desire to travel the world. She's traveled throughout South America and Europe and likes to explore destinations that are off the well beaten path.
Amy studied journalism and broadcasting at Northeastern School of Broadcasting in Boston, MA. She started her writing career as a newscaster-producer at WXKS-AM/FM. She moved to New York City an became an executive for WNEW-FM and WABC-AM. Most recently van Arsdale wrote and produced her own radio show on WNLK/WSTC-AM in Connecticut. Amy still freelances as a radio producer for programming that runs throughout the country.
She is a certified Kripalu yoga instructor and this has enabled her to explore and appreciate the spiritual side of traveling. Her hopes are to enlighten travelers to be more aware of the energy that radiates their adventures when they're away and at home.
Amy van Arsdale is a professional actress and has performed most recently in the Vagina Monologs at the Westport Country Playhouse in Westport, CT. She also is a professional home organizer and the Founder of Simply Organize It.
She lives in Westport, CT with her four children, two Labrador Retrievers and Bow the hamster.
