Minerva explained that a male dolphin in the wild can live to twenty-four years but in captivity many have lived up to fifty years. Because dolphins are social animals, they seem to enjoy the human interaction that comes along with the classes, which helps put my worries at ease.
DEEP SENSE OF PEACE
Whether you agree with animal training or not, it’s hard to ignore the positive effects these mammals have on people of any age. In my class alone, there were five middle-aged men and women and two small children. I’m saying this because looking back, we were all acting like giddy five year-olds who just found where their Halloween candy was hidden. Having this experience may be controversial, but I truly believe that it instills in people a deep sense of peace, which is simple in theory but much harder to achieve in real life.
