I had a wonderful stay at the Teatro in early April, making camp in a Deluxe Corner King. Having windows on two walls gave me additional views of the city, made the room seem larger, and tacked on a detail that really added a unique aspect to my trip. It is interesting how corner rooms can make the stay special - simply adding a few windows makes a big difference - and I feel like they are often overlooked in favor of traditional suites.
I thought the subtle, "orangey" colors of the room did well to bring a refined energy. The Deluxe Corner has a couch and sitting area as well, a perk I deem necessary when lodging in a city. After long days of walking, I enjoy having a private place to put my feet up (keep in mind most city hotels do not offer balconies).
Travelers who enjoy staying in the thick of the action will find the Hotel Teatro's location in the Theatre District to accommodate their nightlife needs. Both the Denver Center for Performing Arts and Larimer Square are right around the corner (http://www.larimersquare.com/).

Restaurant Recommendation: Prima Ristorante
One of Chef Kevin Taylor’s five Denver restaurants, Prima Ristorante is a spot for travelers and locals. It’s location inside of the Hotel Teatro (and thus in the thick of the Theatre District) makes it a feasible starting or ending point for an evening in downtown Denver. Couples can dine on the mezzanine for a personal setting while friends gather in the bar below.
The place feels classy, and the food backs it up. Their Egg Ravioli has won multiple awards (Top Secret Recipe from Bon Appetit in 2006 and Best Ravioli from the Rocky Mountain News in 2006, 2007), and it did not disappoint in either taste or creativity. Yoke literally ran out of the ravioli as I cut into it, the salt from the Parmigiano cheese adding great flavor as I mopped it up with the pasta (you can have the inside egg cooked however you wish).
